DEEP-DIVE LIFE FACTS
Under the Hood
No bloat. No React. No dependencies. Vanilla HTML, CSS, and TypeScript compiled to plain JavaScript.
It stores your date of birth and preferences locally, on your machine. Nothing leaves your device. There are no servers. There is no company watching.
The chronometer updates every 16ms. Not because you need precision — but because you deserve to feel how fast it moves.

QUESTIONS
What data does Aevum collect?
None. Aevum stores your date of birth locally in your browser's storage. No analytics. No tracking. No servers. The code is fully open source for you to verify.
Is it really free?
Completely free. No premium tier, no subscription, no upsells. If you want to support the project, you can buy a coffee — but it's entirely optional.
Why does the extension need the "storage" permission?
To save your date of birth and theme preferences locally. That's the only permission. No network requests, no remote servers, no data leaves your machine.
Can I customize the life expectancy?
The default is 80 years (global average). You can change it in settings. The grid adapts instantly.
Does it affect browser performance?
Aevum is ~51KB total. The physics engine runs at 60fps only when visible. It has zero impact on your browsing experience.
If Aevum Changed Something in You
Aevum is free and always will be. There is no company behind it.
There is no monetization plan. It is one person building a tool
they wanted to exist.
If looking at your life grid made you close a useless tab,
start something you've been postponing, or simply breathe differently
for a moment — consider leaving the cost of a coffee.
It keeps the server running and the code maintained.
You are never obligated. Aevum will never ask twice.
